About Empowered Medicine

As you may have guessed, the main purpose of the information presented on this website and in our newsletters is to empower people. At Empowered Medicine, we are committed to providing healthcare consumers with the latest, evidence-based healthcare information. Empowered Medicine focuses on providing information on the many chronic conditions we all suffer from, particularly as we age. Empowered Medicines' creator, a pharmacist, composes much of and oversees all of the content presented on our website. You can read more about her below.

About Dr. Larson:

Empowered Medicine was created by pharmacist, Dr. Christi Larson, Pharm. D. Dr. Larson personally composes much of and oversees all of the content presented on this website. After completing her Doctorate in Pharmacy, Dr. Larson completed a one year Pharmacy Practice Residency at Banner Baywood Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona. She then went on to practice as a Clinical Infusion Pharmacist for one of the largest health systems in the western United States.

Dr. Larson has given community education lectures on managing medications. She has also chaired and taken part in several other committees, in an effort to improve patient care within the health care system. Some of the issues addressed included those that deal with critical lab reporting, medication management, medication billing, and meeting regulatory standards.

Dr. Larson is an advocate of empowering health care consumers to take charge of their health. This involves educating today's aging population. Dr. Larson not only believes in educating today's adults, but also in educating our children. Please take a moment to visit two of her favorite charitable organizations:  Junior Achievement and Free Arts of Arizona.
